Following in the footsteps of his late father Ken Firmin, Brent will guide you on this most unforgettable journey through the far reaches of the Whanganui River .He will proudly share with you, this special wonderland, the mystical river valley his ancestors (the tangata whenua) inhabited.
Visit the Mangaio Gorge, the Drop Scene, walk the Mangapurua Track to the famed Bridge to Nowhere, deep in "The Valley of Abandoned Dreams".

Bridge To Nowhere Tour
Departing from Pipiriki, one of our trips is to the renowned "Bridge to Nowhere " , nestled deep in "The Valley of Abandoned Dreams" . Brent will guide you on the leisurely 40 minute walk to the Bridge to Nowhere, from the Mangapurua Landing . Bring your lunch (or we can arrange) and enjoy our herbal tea or freshly brewed Havoc coffee on The Bridge to Nowhere.
Time: Allow 4.5 - 5 hours

Flying Fox Tour
This half day trip departs from Pungarehu (25 minutes' drive from Wanganui), travelling to the Flying Fox . Surrounded by native bush, the organic gardens and orchards here are a perfect place to relax, enjoy a health picnic lunch and a freshly brewed Havoc coffee on the deck overlooking the river.
Time: Allow 3-3.5 hours

Whanganui National Park basin is one of the largest remaining areas of unmodified lowland forest in the North Island, with stunning views of both the Whanganui and Tongariro National Parks. There are a number of good walking tracks to enable you to experience this first hand, including the following;
Starting from Whakahoro, the Kaiwhakauka Track meets the Mangapurua Valley walkway, crosses the Bridge to Nowhere, and ends at the Mangapurua landing, wher you'll be met by your Whanganui Jet guide.
The Matemateaonga Track, starts at Strathmore and meanders through the Matemateaonga Range to the Whanganui River. You will be met by your Whanganui Jet guide, Brent, and taken to Pipiriki Landing, or upriver to the Bridge to Nowhere.
We will organise accommodation at your request, and transport from Pipiriki to Wanganui City.
